About

Hello, I’m Samira! I'm a graduate student at the Georgia Institute of Technology, pursuing a Masters in Computer Science with a specialization in Human-Computer Interaction. I was the Editor-in-Chief of the Institute's newspaper, was a design researcher at the MIT Design Lab, and served on the IDSA Boston Chapter Executive Board. I am also an Instructional Associate for Dr. David Joyner’s Human-Computer Interaction course, CS6750.

In my work, I aim to embody 3 core design philosophies:

Sustainability - finding ways to coexist with our environment and making use of existing frameworks.

Accessibility - enabling opportunities for all demographics.

Inclusivity - empathizing with users to understand their core needs and designing for vulnerable populations.
